Lean Startup
- for change projects

Learn to see the opportunity that comes with uncertainty. The Lean Startup method helps drive superfast learning in change projects with its continuous focus on critical assumptions.

About the course

Many change and innovation projects run much longer than expected and at launch, many solutions simply do not deliver the expected value to customers and users. A method that identifies and tests core assumptions from day one can help deliver significantly more value much faster than usual.

Take part in this two-day course and become a lead thinker on how to apply fast learning in the change efforts of your organisation.

You will work with:

  • The basics of The Lean Startup methodology
  • Identifying and prioritising (impact vs uncertainty) critical assumptions for projects to deliver value
  • Tools and principles to make prototypes and tests that reveal true commitment
  • Engaging with users/stakeholders in fast, cheap and practical ways
  • Techniques for synthesising learnings and planning next testing loops
  • Incorporating The Lean Startup in the sprint cycle of change projects
  • Building good arguments for trying out new methods

Value – when you return, you will:

  • Be more comfortable with uncertainty and understand the opportunities that uncertainty presents
  • Have a plug-and-play methodology from The Lean Startup to use in your projects
  • Be able to learn faster in your current projects and build better solutions for users
  • Become a lead thinker and “doer” in driving your organisation towards The Startup Way

Target group:

Team members who would like to help projects be better, faster and more fun. People with experience in project work from general change, operational improvements or service/product development. An interest in or basic knowledge of Agile methodologies would be an advantage, but it is not a requirement.

We recommend that you register together with a colleague, so you can continue discussions and experimentation when you return from the course.
