Programme Management MSP®

The course equips you to organise, lead, and manage programmes using the MSP® framework. Through theory, dialogue, and practical exercises, you will gain an overview of the principles that form the foundation of the method. You will be provided with the necessary tools to implement the MSP® method in your daily work and achieve strategic and business objectives.

 

The course provides a theoretical introduction to MSP®, combined with a series of practical exercises completed both individually and in teams. The course prepares you to pass the MSP® Foundation and Practitioner exams, which are taken online after the course.

During the course, you will learn about:

• The principles that make up the foundation for MSP®
• The different stages of a programme.
• How to create a vision that formulates the ambition of the programme
• How to realise the desired takeaways and effects
• How to manage and co-ordinate the deliverables of contributing projects

 

The course will enable you to establish and manage programs while fostering better dialogue about the company's future through a programmatic approach.

 

The programme management course is designed for those working as programme managers, change managers, project managers, or in a programme support team. It is also suitable for leaders who need skills in managing programs and change or who serve on steering committees driven by business needs for change.

 

Approx. 4 weeks before the start of the course, you will receive an email from us with preparation material and a voucher for the MSP book (online format). We recommend that you read the material thoroughly before the course and set aside approx. 20-30 hours for preparation for the course.

 

In preparation for MSP®, you will receive the following from us:

• The MSP book (online version) via PeopleCert

• MSP pre-course workbook – introduces you to all the basic MSP concepts

• MSP Foundation sample exam (Foundation Sample Paper 1). These are live exam questions.

• MSP correction instructions for the sample exam (Foundation Sample Paper 1, Answers and Rationales)

 

With Implement's course in programme management MSP®, you will be prepared to pass your MSP® exam.

The MSP exam is taken online after the course, allowing you to choose the day and time that suits you best. As part of the course, we will send you an exam voucher, which you will use to book your exam.

Foundation Exam

The MSP® Foundation exam ensures you have acquired knowledge of MSP® terminology and are familiar with MSP® elements. Through dialogue and problem-solving during the course, you will work with MSP® and subsequently be able to apply it in your daily work. Passing the MSP® Foundation exam is based on understanding MSP®, not rote memorisation.

Practitioner Exam

The MSP® Practitioner exam focuses on your ability to understand and apply MSP®, as well as evaluate whether MSP® is used correctly in a case. Passing the Foundation exam is a prerequisite for taking the Practitioner exam.

Passing score: 36 correct answers

Format: 60 multiple-choice questions

No aids allowed

 

MSP® Practitioner Exam

Duration: 2½ hours

Passing score: 42 correct answers

Format: 70 questions
