The course strengthens your understanding of the methods we use when working on projects, the fundamental planning and follow-up tools as well as your role as project manager. You will learn to create an overview, plan, organise and set up a budget for your project.

  • Setting the project objectives (purpose, success criteria and deliverables)
  • Mapping and managing project stakeholders
  • Evaluating the project team’s work
  • Planning the project (milestones, phases and activities)

  • Project economy, follow-up and reporting

About the course

The course focuses on strengthening your competences as facilitator and as project manager of a project team. You will be introduced to a number of methods, which you will have ample opportunity to put to use in a number of workshops. Subsequently, you will receive valuable feedback and inspiration for how to become a better project manager and how to ensure a successful process.

  • Development of the project team – what should you be aware of and when?
  • Management styles – which management styles are most appropriate in different situations?
  • Personal preferences (Whole Brain® – preference model)
  • Creative techniques and presentation techniques

Exam: Project Excellence Fundamentals

The exam

The exam covers the topics and tools that you have learnt in Project Management 1 and 2. In addition to the exam certificate, you will receive a feedback report on your strengths and development areas relating to the 25 topics covered by the exam.

To take the exam, it is a prerequisite that you have completed Project Management 1 and 2.

 

Course content

  • The exam consists of 180 multiple choice questions based on the course material you have covered. The exam lasts 3 hours.
  • The exam is online and it is up to you when you wish to complete the exam within the dates indicated.

 

Takeaways

  • You will receive an exam certificate stating that you have passed the exam in Project Excellence Fundamentals.
  • In addition, an overview of your strengths and development areas will be shown after the exam is completed. The overview will help you identify areas to focus on with the purpose of developing as a project manager.
